About

John Piper is a cinematic composer creating atmospheric, emotionally charged music that blends orchestral textures, dark sonic landscapes and modern electronic elements.

Drawing inspiration from Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman and John Williams, and from the electronic sounds of Daft Punk and Chicane, his music explores the space between haunting beauty, tension, mystery and wonder.

Working in a fully digital production environment, he combines evolving string arrangements, intricate percussion, evocative choirs and layered sound design to create immersive musical experiences. His original compositions, including The Procession of the Crows, reflect a distinctive approach to cinematic storytelling: music designed to evoke imagery, build atmosphere and leave a lasting emotional impression.

John continues to develop his catalogue of original music for film, television and other visual media, driven by a passion for bringing stories to life through sound.
